I have 2 36" Sunlight supply lights with 8 bulbs each
Total 16 39 W bulbs, 72" across.
I admit I pretty much guessed at the bulbs to get, the quantity and
the placement.
I keep SPS and others in my tank.
How does this arrangement seem to you?
Also, is 12 hours on a good amount?

I 'pair' the T-5 lamps as follows:
(Front to back)
39W T5 ATI True Actinic High Output Fluorescent Bulb
39W T5 HO ATI Sun Full Spectrum 6500K .
39W T5 HO ATI Sun Full Spectrum 6500K .
39W T5 HO ATI Sun Full Spectrum 6500K .
39W T5 HO ATI Aquablue Full Spectrum 11,000K
39W T5 HO ATI Aquablue Full Spectrum 11,000K
39W T5 ATI True Actinic High Output Fluorescent Bulb
39W T5 ATI True Actinic High Output Fluorescent Bulb

Thanks

Are you pleased with the color? I think that is all that matters.
FWIW I bought a huge assortment of bulbs just to make sure the color would
suit me- I find the Suns way too white. On an 8 bulb setup I run:

2 actinic
1 blue plus
1 sun
1 aqua blue
1 sun
2 actinic

I'm worried that I don't have enough "Sun" to promote growth, yet the colors
are great. I figure I'll change 'em from time to time just to see if my eye
was just uneducated.

Are you using a sheild? I made one out of Home Depot acrylic and wonder if
it is blocking any of my spectrum- I'm getting some very lime green algae.
