I am also up for your suggestions for lighting.
I currently have 1 white / 1 blue 46" ???? bulbs that are about 8+
yrs old!
Need replacing obviously.

Been a while since I've been back in this hobby, but this 55 makes a
nice addition to the dining room area.

**HAS TO have a hang on back filtration....will "any" bio-wheel
do???**

In case anyone was interested, the current tank has about 4 assorted
damsels, 1 humuhumu trigger, 1 Scopas tang..........but like I said
b4, I plan on trading them in at the pet store or
something.....dunno..

Thank you all for your input!

****Most people will tell you that those bulbs should be replaced
every 12 months, at least. Some say six.

****Hang-on-back filtration is not mandatory, and Undergravel filters
have become one of the least desired methods in marine aquaria.
Perhaps you should do some reading on the fundamentals....

Tons of good info, and answers to many of your questions. Post again
for clarification if you have need.

I seem to be missing part of the original messages of this thread perhaps.

Try reading this page to get yourself current with the hobby:

I would cut and paste into your browser to get the whole link.

Good Luck.

The original thread was called "new.." a little further down the
posts.

Thought I was replying to THAT post and not starting another one [not
sure how that happened however...]

Thank you all for the inputs!
