Just purchased my first skimmer, A CPR Bakpak. It's skimming nicely and
creating all sorts of brown goop in the collector cup. However, I
have a question about the noise level. Are all CPR skimmers loud? I
have it on a timer and run it while I'm at work so I don't have to
listen to it. I'm guessing that they're all loud due to the venturi
bubble attachment on the pump. Any advice? Does the noise bother the fish?

Thanks

Tom,

But a wooden airstone from your LFS and press that into the end of the black
venturi tube. It will act as a muffler *as long as it stays dry!*
