having read so much good info on the BLV 10000K bulb I modded my MH to
accept a double ended bulb but when lit it's like a different spectrum.
the old bulb gave off a really bluish light but it definitely had 10000K
written all over it. the new bulb I one that has excellent reviews on the
net and in magazines but seems to give off a more whitish light with a
slight hint of green. the expert at a LFS says he thinks that the Coralux
supplied by system 2000 are an abortion and nowhere near the right colour.
which is right, the new one with colour shifted spectrum or the old one with
the very blue tint.
I have an actinic running along with the MH but sadly its lost now and is
only for morning start-up and evening shutdown.
should I persist with the new bulb or go and find a similar bulb to the old
one (tried and its very difficult).
could the old one actually be 20000K as its more of a bluish spectrum.

I dont know how old the bulb is but I have a 10000K bulb from Blueline that
is extremely blue.

They call it their 10000k +
