Hello all,
My tank is now all set for the real stocking of fish that I intended. My
questions are regarding the order of introduction as well as compatabillity
issues that others out there may have experienced with this list. As an
FYI, my system is a 240 FOWLR, 180lbs LR and the only invertibrates are 30
margarita snails, fancy brittle star and fancy sea serpent star. I also
currently have 2 occilaris clownfish enjoying the tank to themselves.

Here's my wish list: (Only one each)
Blue Tang
Naso Tang
Flame Angel
Black-Backed Butterfly (Chaetodon Melannotus)
Collare Butterfly (Chaetodon Collare)
Auriga Butterfly
Saddled Butterfly (Chaetodon Ephippium)
Falcula Butterfly
Latticed Butterfly (Chaetodon Rafflesi)
and possibly
Merten's Butterfly (Chaetodon mertensii)
or
Raccoon Butterfly (Chaetodon Fasciatus)

My fisrt concern is regarding the tangs.
I understand that it is best to introduce tangs simultaneously. I also
understand that the blue tang is considered to be much more peaceful than
the naso. How important is it to add these two simulanteously? Can I
expect some fighting later on from the Naso picking on the Blue?

Finally, are there any opinions with an order of introduction? I would like
to stock this tank as soon as possible since 2 occilaris are quite small on
a 240 but I understand that could be a big bump to the bio load.

The tank has been running and cycled for nearly 6 months now.
78F, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, <10 nitrate, 1.022 SG

Thank you,
Justin

Justin,

I've found that Blue Tangs get somewhat distressed if not in a school.
Others may have a different experience. My 4 very happy BT's are in a tank
with a couple of percularis clowns and a Magnifica anemone and other
inverts. Over time they stopped darting into caves and could handle human
traffic outside the tank.
