Could someone please look at the photo of a "hairy mushroom" I have posted
halfway down the page at http://www.cearbhaill.com/id.htm and tell me if it
is fish safe or not?
I thought it was safe when I bought it but got spooked when I found a photo
of a Giant Elephant Ear eating a fish. I know this is not the same species,
but it's close enough that I am double checking.
It doesn't show much interest in target feeding...
Thanks

I have heard of them doing it. I saw a picture of one eating a firefish
once.
I would think it would have to be a small fish. Mine haven't eaten anything

from the looks of the pic, I'd say yours are hardly large enough to eat a
fish. I had a green hairy shroom that got to around 9" and would eat
silversides upwards of 3" in size, but it never caught a fish from the tank.
FWIW when they get large regular feedings will cause them to split, I
learned this the hard way and now have three 4"ish from that one.
