I'm selling my reef tank soon. Going to place ads locally soon. Any idea
what a reasonable price would be for a totally complete 180 gallon reef
setup?
Here's a quick list of what I have....
All-Glass 180 dual overflows, Oak stand
Aquanetics 1/4 HP Chiller
Six - 6' VHO bulbs
Three IceCap Ballasts
Three IceCap Controllers/Timers
Turbofloater skimmer
wet-dry filter
Two MagDrive Submersible Pumps
Double Helix UV
HI-S Maxxima R.O.
RedSea Wavemaster Pro
Mutliple MaxiJet powerheads
200 lbs live rock
Many corals and fish
Refractometer
TDS meter
tons of books, supplies, chemicals

You could ask for $2000 or more, but the trick is finding a buyer willing to pay
that much.
Sometimes it is better to part it out, because you'll get more money in the
process but it is more challenging this way, especially when you have a guy that
only wants the tank (NOW!) but not the livestock.
Where are you located?

Dave,
I think I have seen that answer here before. I'm pretty sure it was
"Exactly what someone actually pays you for it". Then there were comments
about posting questions like that in the marketing forum which is for buying
and selling not in this forum. Or something like that.
Personally I think it sounds like a quite ready to go setup, but I doubt you
will get near what it's worth out of it.
From what I've seen of selling around here, getting over $.20 on the dollar
is good if that helps.
