I've been having great success with this protein skimmer until a few weeks
ago.
It does not seem to be producing as many bubbles now, and certainly not as
much "stuff" in the collection area. I have removed the pump, opened and
examined for blockages & did not find anything wrong.
Any Suggestions?
TIA

It is a turboflotor 1000 in sump skimmer check the airholes in the pipe
that feeds the pump, they have been known to plug up and when they do
the skimmer can not pull in as much air.

I figured it out.
I decided to clean the air line. It wasn't blocked. When I re-installed the
pump (in the tank) I did not have it located deep enough in the tank. A few
inches made a huge difference in the density of bubbles produced.
Thanks for the replies.

I have had the airline problem as well. Sometimes it plugs with salt
buildup or whatnot, I just clean it out and it works fine. I found if you
have a powerhead on the water intake it works wayyyyy nicer too. (if you
don't already have one)

I'm not sure what you mean. I'm using the pump it came with. Are you
suggesting directing the output of an additional powerhead to the intake of
the pump that came with the unit, or replacing it?
