If I have an acrylic tank would it be a smart idea to place a drain hole
on the very bottom plate, so if I ever wanted to drain it, I could just
attach a garden hose to it?
I have a similar set up now. I drilled a hole about 15% down from the
top and now all I have to do to do a water change is hook up a hose bib
and open the valve. Putting the water back in is no problem either. Just
attach the hose to the sink and it's filled in 2-3 minutes. Fresh water
only :)
