Response to my previous posts about a wandering H. magnifica, were helpful
in determining the solution.
It appears a combination of factors. Originally the MH 150 (not 175) was
about 12 inches from the tank, so I thought it was lack of light. I also
had no direct current. To remedy, I was moving the MH closer and closer
until it was about 4 inches. I had ignored the importance of current. The
result was the "balled" anemone would get as close as possible to the
surface in the shaded side of the tank, leaving a small portion of body in
the light.
Moving the MH to about 8 inches, adding a powerhead to stream just beside
the body and it has opened up to previous glory into the light and current.
A temporary solution of course. The 2x 250W 10,000K are on order.
