I was starring into the tank again and during feeding I was watching the
small critters like tubes, fans, filters, small crabs and the like, to see
what they do to catch the food. One stood out and I never noticed it before.

There was a coiled tube (white in colour) on a rock, normally a small filter
feeder pops out, but this time I was something else in there, it was able to
rotate 360o inside the tube, and the part I was interested in was, it let
out a very long (10cm or more) string, it must have been sticky cause a
piece of food would get stuck to it, then it would draw it back in I guess
eat it and sent the long string out again.

The string looked like mucus more then anything, when it touched a coral
next to it I put my hand in to pull the piece away and the whole sting let
go, but I did feel it between the fingers and it was mucus for sure. A few
seconds later the critter let out a new string of mucus.
