I have a 55 gallon reef tank. After coming home and turning on the lamp the other night, I noticed I had some sort of crab in my tank. As I approached the tank, he scooted along the live sand and up into the live rock. I've seen him only once (then) and never during daylight.

Description: Flat, disk-like shell and body, silver/gray in color, walks sideways, about the size of a 50 cent piece.

I did not buy him, obviously tagged along on some live rock I got. I realize I'm short on description, but can anyone help me identify him? Is this the kind of crab that can be predatory?

Thanks.

Jim
