How often should you run carbon in your tank?

Is it something that should allways be used used or just now and again, I've
never used it on my 4 month old tank, but it seems to be doing fine.

Running it once a month for 3 days will suffice. After a short period
of time, carbon doesn't absorb any longer.

Normally when I use carbon [very VERY seldom / rare] when the water look
milky or "I" think there something in the water that need to be cleansing.

Normally I see people use carbon if they put in medication to the tank.
Carbon mainly use for is to absorb chemical.
