Hi Mort,

A guy contacted me today saying he wanted to reach you about
a controller. I'm quoting the original post below. Can you
email me your phone number so he can contact you? Btw,
maybe I need one of those! ;)

IS the controller like a thermostat?

Thanks
Simon

Hi Simon,
Basically, the controller IS a thermostat. It has a temperature probe
that can sense either air or water temp.

Mort, Are they similar to the Ranco controllers? and are you interested in
putting together any for some trades?

Hi Rod,
I'm a little confused by your question. The ETC-111000 "IS" a Ranco
controller. The A419ABC-1C is from Johnson Controls , a competitor of
Ranco, and it is a similar product. They do they same thing but the Johnson
Control is a little better IMHO.
Mainly because the probe is connected to the board via a set of screw
terminals whereas the Ranco is soldered in to the board. Also, the Johnson
Control unit is a little more attractive, again, IMHO.
I would be interested in some trades, depending on what you have and
where you are located.
Shoot me an email. lordmort at sbcglobal dot net
