I have two Ice Cap 660-009's powering my six 5foot bulbs for my tank. One
of the Ballast is popping the fuse and when i replace the fuse, and power up
the system, the 3 lights come on for about 1/10 of a sec and go out...
popped fuse..... I thought it might be the wiring on the bulbs or bulbs
themselves so I swapped out the wiring on the other three lights... same
thing

Someone tell me that I am not out 215.00 on a new ballast.... 'cmon... lie
to me....

First, when you say you swapped the wiring, does that mean you
disconnected the wiring harness from the ballast and connected the other
ballast up and you still have the same problem with that ballast? If
that is the case you do have a bad ballast, but you are not out $215.
First you can buy a new ballast for less than $175 many places, and
second Icecap does have a 3 year warranty, and they used to repair out
of warranty ballasts for around $65 I believe. I would suggest you
contact Icecap and see what your options are.

I had the same probleme. My balast was aprox 4 years old (out of
warranty) I called Ice Cap they told me to send it back and that it
was 65.00 US ( I am in Canada so I figured around 100.00) and decided
to sent it back.

They repaired it free of charge. Guess what, I am verry happy with
there service and when I need to get another ballast it is going to be
a Ice Cap
