Hi,
I've got a 200 litre community tank which among its occupants
has a pair of kribs. Loads of room in it (although the other fish
will grow, but are growing slowly)...
If I get another pair of kribs (younger) or a pair of rams, would
the existing pair be likely to be friendly or unfriendly towards
them? They are not at all aggressive although initially they were
a bit defensive when nesting, but they aren't any more.
The tankmates are a varied batch and they really shouldnt be
getting along, but they are: 3 tiger barbs, 3 fancy guppies,
4 longfin danios, 3 small clown loaches, a pleco, a clown syno and
a pangassius cat which has actually settled and eats everything.
(Don't ask about the guppies with the barbs... but to my relief
it works fine and they don't touch each other.)
The kribs fit in fine and keep themselves to themselves although
they probably explore the full length of the tank far more than the
others.
(Not really after any alternative tankmates than kribs or rams.
When the barbs die off I might look at something else.
But if anyone wants to suggest any - pH 8, KH medium hard.)
So, ram and krib advice please.
