I just posted tonight about bringing a trio of guppies home..... I put the
female in a breeder containment in my 10 gallon tank and I just went and
there are 4 babies already!
I just took the mother out and rejoined her with the two males. I have
turned the light off in the tank so that she can recooperate through the
night without being ganged up on so soon again by the males.
The four fry in the breeder are swimming around. I'm so excited but very
surprised. I did read that stress can put them into pre-mature labor, but
would the fry be so healthy and active right away if they were premature???
It is also possible she could have eaten a few, but she wasn't in the
breeder for long and she really wasn't showing much, the black spot was
small.
