WOW! I didn't know they were *that* rare. Do you think some online
fishstores would put them on hold for me? Surely somewhere could
special order them right?

I've only seen a total of 4 pictures of them and because of that, I'm
creating a tank setup *just* for them. Talk about obsession. Hehe. :D

Heh, tell me about it. They probably keep them in a seperate tank
deeply hidden in the back! I'm willing to pay $20 for each of them...
I've already contacted LiveAquaria.com about them, and they're
'supposed' to be keeping an eye out for them but I doubt it.

So when you had yours, how long did they live? And did they breed at
all? And espically, what tactic did you use to convince the store to
sell them to you? Hehe.

I'm just hoping that a LFS will have one of those dim-witted
salespersons working that day and not know any better.

Anyway, one last question... Do you know of any sites that may have
those type of rare things?

Can't recall how long they lived exactly. The first one went for perhaps 5
or 6 years, the next one maybe a year?
No breeding. The first was definitely a female but I realized cultivating a
spawn would need work-i.e.hormones. Our cat/dog veterinarian is the only
one in driving range that deals in hormones, but he sure wasn't too
interested in helping me. Other vet's referred me to him, so it wasn't to
be.
The store didn't care if I bought them-that's their business. Luckily,
albino's stick out in a tank of normals.
Absolutely no idea of a site to check. The LFS that I bought the first one
from bought his fish direct from the far East, so perhaps, they may show up
in the odd shipment. Rest assured that wholesalers in North America are
visited regularly by extreme hobbyists that do some 'cherry picking' when
fish arrive.
