Rather than trying to lower the temperatures with temporary fixes that
cause too much fluctuation (dumping cold water, ice)try putting on a fan
directed at the surface of the water. Doesn't have to be a large fan-
just moving air. If you have jumpers you can fashion a fix from window
screen/hardware cloth.
It does work and eliminates any of the problems that excessive
fluctuations can cause.

That is the best info Tony. But if you can"t get a fan close enough to
the tank there could be problems. Here in Virginia 100* + temps are the
norm so 95* water is not a good thing. I used the frozen bottle of
water to keep my fish alive (prior lost several fish to the heat) till
the temps dropped back down to the 90's and the tank in the 80's.
