My Red Tinfoil Barb (full grown adult) has 2 large red marks on the right side
of his
head near his gill, they seem to be some sort of infection he is in a communtiy
tank with other smaller fish (the only other fish who seems to be infected is a
3 spot gourami who seems to have fin rot and parts of his skin are worn away)
the other fish are fine.

What is best course of action to treat them ?

Do TFB's get hole in the head disease?? check out google for pics and
compare, but I'm not sure it HITH is considered a large fish disease, but
TFB surely qualifies as a big fish....

They are actually "red streaks" not so much on his head but sort of to the
right and back towards his gill on right side, like the flap before the opening
of the gill.

regardless they are 2 red streaks and from what i have been reading it seems
like a bacterial infection and was wondering if anyone had experience or
success treating this kind of infection, especially on a large adult tinfoil
barb ?
