Water from DeHumidifier

Can you pour collected water from a Dehumidifier into an aquarium? Is
it safe?

In theory yes, in practice no. The water is often quite dirty from
dust, and bacteria (slime). There is also the question of heavy metal
pollutants from the dehumidifier fins. Google the archives, this was
discussed last year.

OK, thanks...I figured the water would have some dust and I was only
thinking of topping off with it but I didn't think about the metal
fins.
