Several of the online aquarium plant vendors (Florida Driftwood,
AquaBotanic, etc.) sell toolkits designed specifically for this application-
long tweezers, long scissors, and a rake usually around $35US.
Like everything else in this world- it's easy if you have the right tools. I
know *I* blew out a shoulder from repeatedly reaching into a deep tank
before I bought a set. Now things are unbelievably easy.
