When my 8 year old daughter was 18 months old she woke up in the middle
of the night and decided to feed the pets. Luckily my husband and I
woke up during the feeding frenzy to fix the problem. She dumped in an
entire can of fish food into the tank, gave the rats a bottle of beer
and a stick of butter and was in the process of dumping an entire bag of
cat food on the floor.
After cleaning up the mess and a few days of water changes the fish
pulled through ok.
