My local newspaper carried an story from the Los Angeles Times on rare
violins, it mentions Herbert Axelrod sold 30 instruments to the New
Jersey Symphony Orchestra. I hope he uses the money to fund more fish
collecting expeditions.

Boy, your local paper is either a year late - or it took that long
to negoitiate. I saw that item nearly a year ago!! ;-)
Search on his name and though most hits will be his books,
there'll be lots on 'stringed instruments'

Dr Axelrod is not a young guy, he's currently 76 years old.
I doubt he goes collecting much any more.
