I have a 70 gallon freshwater socal tank that has been running for a
couple years.
The tank is planted using Excel as a carbon source for the plants.
I do regular water changes once a week about 20 percent.
I have a UV sterilizer and plenty of filtration.
There are no signs of disease in the tank. These ballas have been
through hell in this tank.
They have survived very high nitrate levels when I was not doing water
changes for a long time.
They have survived ich that killed off many of the other fish and
resulted in my getting the UV Sterilizer which has been running for 6
months.
They eat well and are active.
