Snails

[Name]

My tank is infested with snails. I started with 4-5 now I have 4-500. I know
there is a F/W fish that eats them, but will it eat my 4 apple snails as
well? They are about the size of a ping-pong ball. Plus what is the name of
the fish? I have a 55g f/w tank.

Your best choice is probably Botia striata (see loaches.com for common names),
it doesn't get too big. Clown and yoyo loaches would probably harrass your
big snails to death. My B. striatas seem to leave alone my albino Pomacea
bridgesii.
