Do guppies care who the daddy is? Can it be a child from a previous batch???

Our male, disappeared.... found him later :-(

Now the only male is the child, and am wondering whether to take him out or
not... If they don't care, I won't care....

Will it hurt the genetics, make the gene pool shallower??? or should I just
go get a male to replace and seperate the boy and Mom...???

sounds weird doesn't it?

Actaully the Mom will store the sperm from the previous male for several
more batches of fry. I would personally get a new male (a chance to get some
new color variations, fin length, etc.) but you do whatever you want. You
could try letting them breed and see what happens. If you get fry that are
weak or malformed then you could get another male at that time.
