View Full Version : Sick danio

I have a Danio that has fallen ill--he is hanging on the bottom of the tank fins flailing and
gasping--he does rise to get food but otherwise is dormant. All along his spine there is a seies of
small jelly-like bumps or bubbles--about 50 of them--I am afraid I will not be able to save him--but
does anyone have any ideas what he has and if it can spread?

How big is your tank, how stocked is it, do you have an airstone
what are your water parameters, how much water do you change a week?

it is very interesting to see many danios die for no reason. 4 of mine dead,
but other fish like platies live well. i bet platies are hardier fish than
danios. danios can live for few months, then they just died out. guess due
to the nature of cheap breading of them...
