My son has some yabbies in a tank and has just dicovered one of them
has eggs under her tail. We have taken her out and put her in another
tank by herself. He wants to know if anybody does how long does it
take for the eggs to hatch and then they have hatched is it safe to
leave the mothe in with them. Do they still eat the same as there
mother. If anyone has any advice for him it would be greatly
appreciated thank-you.

Per above URL:
28-30 days to hatch
Juveniles look pretty much like miniature adults.
Eat the same foods, but smaller sized pieces.
Mother will take care of the babies.

I suggest putting the female with eggs into a tank with lots of plants
and mulm on the bottom. Feed plant based foods or flakes for the
first couple of weeks. Do not worry about vaccuming the bottom of the
tank. If you have them, throw in a couple of female guppies and a
male guppy in there after a couple of weeks after hatching. Their fry
will become food for the baby crayfish.
