DOes anybody has information of this fish (ray)? I couldnt find much info.,
i know some can reach 26" but exist smaller ones?
The info I got say it is a pacific fish suitable for comunity tanks

The hystrix is one of the smaller rays, including the reticulata, usually only
getting a size of about 12". A hystrix ray is somewhat sensitive to water
conditions, as are all the freshwater rays, but the hystrix can be said to be
more sensitive than most. This is not actually a rule, though, as I have a
reticulata that has the health, stamina, and appetite of a motoro.
There is a great yahoo group for freshwater rays called Amazing Rays. You
might want to check that out, since there is a lot of useful info there.
