Suggestions for 2-gallon tank?

I've picked up a Marineland Eclipse Explorer tank (claims to hold 2 US
gallons) to fool around with, and am cycling it with a few Rosies. I noted
the tank runs hot (77 F, five degrees above ambient) even though it has no
light or heater. The pump motor housing seems to transfer heat to the
water.

Question: What kind of small, decorative, inexpensive TROPICAL fish might
be happy in such a small, warm world? How many?

3 female bettas? i have 4 in a 5.5 gallon minibow, they are colorful,
energetic and have fun personalities, make sure you gotta cover up every
little hole because theywill jump through any hole in the lid.
or if the temp stays stable like that maybe a 3 or 4 neon tetras. i think
walmart sells little heaters for small tanks. they are calld Jr heaters or
somethin.

One male Betta would be the perfect fish for that tank. They thrive in warmer
water, and benefit from the added space.

Yes, I have two two gallon tanks with one male betta in each and they seem
to do very well. I got a real small heater from thatfishplace.com that fits
in there to keep from the temperature getting too low at night when the
light is off.
