View Full Version : Always unplug ballast before removing lights

Today I had to remove the canopy of the large tank and for the first
time, I had to unplug the quick-snap connectors of the lights beforehad.
I reached under the stand and started disconnecting each of the 4
cables. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain and I realized I had shocked
myself with the little prongs of the connectors. It was small, and fast,
but the smell of burned skin is still lingering.... :(
Note to self, *always* unplug the ballasts before disconnecting the lights.
