Guppie questions

I have a female, proven breeder, and I've since seperated her from any other
guppies, to allow her to finish her breeding from stored sperm.... 2 batches
later, she's fat again... and then it dawned on me... how many times is this
going to happen???

I planned on letting her finish her stored sperm, introduce a new male, and
go from there, but she's preggy again!!!! No male for now, am waiting on her
to finish....

How many and how long will she store this??? I've laughed at the first two
batches, proved what I told my wife... but she pointed out last night, that
she's fat again... and I know it's not from eating.... 'she's also by
herself in a 10g with cories, kuhlis, and a betta' so I know it's stored
stuff....

Any ideas?

I have never kept live breeders so I can't comment on this. I find it
interesting tho, and would like to know the answer to the question too.

The answer probably varies, but I've heard 3 to 4 batches of fry. Be
sure to let us know how many there were (in about 2 more months ;~).

I've heard they store it, I've seen that they store it, and I've even proven
that they store enough for two full batches of fry (45 for first one, 24 for
second, and pregnant again)

If I get viable fry from this one, I'll know it's 3 atleast... then I just
want to know if I have to keep her seperated to see if she gets preggy
again...

at this rate, I think there's sperm in the water..... hmmm is that possible?

we're working on having the 3rd batch now... wow.... she's STILL getting
bigger everyday... I keep waking to expect some, but no... she's still
fat...

Well, I have read that the female can store up to FIVE packets of milt (fish sperm).
You just have to wait until she stops having them. There is nothing you can do...
