After asking the man in the fish shop if he could take the endless baby
Bristlenose Catfish I keep ending up with he suggested I buy a Red
Tailed shark who would eat the eggs. I duly bought one but on doing some
research realise that I may have made a mistake and that they can be
quite aggressive to other fish. Any opinions/reassurance on this please.
I have the following in my tank - 5 clown loaches, 4 Kribs, 6 Rummy Nose
Tetras, 6 Neon Tetras, 8 Bristlenose Catfish, 2 Khuli loaches, 4 Black
Widow Tetras, 7 male guppies and 1 Flying Fox.

I have 8 red tailed black sharks in my 75 gal. community tank. I have
them in with 4 rosy barbs, 12 neon tetras, 7 black skirt tetras, 8
clown loaches, 3 corys and a lone pair of black sword tails. All is
well. Bud

I have one that I bought out of pity from a horrible LFS in my 75 with a
wide array of peaceful fish. He bothers none of them.

RTS get very aggressive with their own kind, and can be a pest towards
similarly coloured fish. You will probably be fine with only one. It's
a shame you cannot profit from the production/sale of the catfish.

I can get them to take them. But nobody ever pays. The Red Tail Shark
man said he would swap them for food!
