For those in the area... (NC, SC, VA, TN) we are having a meeting on July
26th in Raleigh, NC. We'll be visiting with Richard Harker to see his
2000g tank and to trade frags.

If you wish to join the group, go to groups.yahoo.com/ncfrag or send an
email to * (minus *) to be signed up. No dues, over 120
members strong. We have lots of corals to trade and expertise enough to
go around.

See you there...

Sorry to use this message for a non-marketplace request, but are there any
Chicago-based group similar to this one?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the information, Mort.

Just curious - are you a member of the Chicagoland society (or any of the
others)? Also, any advice on what stores you prefer? I recently went to
Living Seas in Park Ridge, and really liked the place. I was thinking of
buying my live sand/rock from there ...

No Problem Joe,
Actually, I am not a member to any clubs as of yet. I am new to sal****er
and have been doing a lot of research. I had thrown that link in my
favorites so it just happened to be handy when I read your post.
For Stores, the only two that have really impressed me with their SW
selection have been Scott's Pet Shop in Westchester and Barrier Reef
Aquatics in Chicago (Archer and Lockwood) however, BFA's prices are pretty
high...
THere's also another good one called Tropicana on Archer and Rockwell.
I was in there once for some African Cichlids. The guy told me they were
mainly in to salt water and I havent been back there since.
