What is a good reliable heater for a 6 gallon tank? It seems that most
heaters are designed for 10 gallons and above (50w)?
And while I am at it..what's a good online fish store around now?
Thanks!!

I have a 25 watt submersible 'tronic' brand heater in a 6 gallon. Works
fine. I'd stay away from the 'hang on the back' type heaters (more prone to
failure/sticking on than the newer technology) unless you're *really*
strapped for cash, in which case you should probably eat the fish.....
joke...ok?

I'm using a 25 watt submersible Hagen "Mini-Therm" in a three gallon
tank with fine results. It keeps the temperature very steady. There
are a couple of other 25 watt heaters on the market as well, any of
which should do the job.
