One of my baby male guppies (a couple of months old) is developing his
colour nicely. Dad was a snakeskin colour, Mother had a pretty yellow
and black tail.

In addition to his developing snakeskin pattern this guppy has 2 large
spots on one side and on on the other that change color rapidly.
Sometimes they are dark inky blue and sometimes they completely
disappear. Just a couple of minutes ago they were very dark. I fed the
fish and now his spots are much paler.

What's going on? I've decided to name him Chameleon!

Hi Judy, could you tell me how long it takes before you can tell the male
and female guppies apart, as I brought my first three fish "three guppies" a
few weeks ago and not long after getting them in my new tank I noticed that
I now have nine guppies. they all look like they are female at the moment,
but will that change?. thanks
