Can anyone recommend a fully submersible heater of varying wattage?
I remember having an Ebo J. in Austria which was fully submersible. I
purchased a Hagen Thermal Compact Pre-Set heater that stated it was
submersible so I thought it meant FULLY submersible, only to discover that
it had a "cut-off" point.

I have three of the "Won Brothers" Titanium heaters with digital temperature
display and I love them. The heater itself is polished metal and nothing but
a cord on one end. The temperature probe is on a separate line so can be
placed far away from the heater itself. The digital display is *very easy*
to read, and the dial adjuster is as well.
They also make a non digital model.

I tried an Ebo Jager and was very disappointed after reading all the glowing
recommendations- I never felt it operated well and it was impossible to
see/read in its in tank position.

IME, the basis for EJ heaters popularity is based more on reliability and
function VERSUS cost, rather than completely on superior performance. IOW,
EJ's give you the best bang for your buck, comparatively.

I just installed a Visi-therm and have been very pleased. I have no track
record with it from a reliability standpoint, but it is extremely accurate.
