I've recently moved from New York to Chicago and am looking for a
source of aquarium supplies and fish in the western suburbs. Any help
would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

check out www.cichlid-forum.com - they have a nice set of reviews of
LFS. In the Northwestern Suburbs, Living Sea in Park Ridge is where I
buy my fish, Coral Reef in Norridge is where I get my dry goods, but
those are probably too far out of your way.

I second this opinion! Living Sea is probably the best store in Chicago
land area. It is pricey, but the quality is top notch. I would not buy
fish at Coral Reef, but Coral Reef has good prices on dry goods.
However, nothing beats Big Al's online for dry goods - but you do have
to wait a week to get your stuff.

Bob,

You might want to try Scott's Pet Shop in Westchester at 31st St. and Wolf Rd.
(708-562-5000).

It's a nice place and they have a wide selection of both fresh and sal****er
fish.

I agree about Scott's. However, I do NOT like how they take care of their male
Bettas. As good of a shop as that is, I'd think they know (and do) better.
