ICK Treatment Question

Tonight, I have noticed ICK on some of my fish. Only a few visible white
spots. I have tetras (black skirt, black neon, red eye), danios (giant and
zebra), bristlenose pleco, and silver dollars. The silver dollars were just
introduced last week.

I have just medicated my tank with a malachite green/formalin medication
(Cure-Ick) at half dose. It is recommended to do a partial water change
each day before the next dose is added? If so, what percentage?

Sorry to piggyback, but sometimes, just raising the temp up maybe to 84dF,
will speed the process, and some have reported no need for medication....
I've medicated, never done it without....

I've brought home several fish with ich since I've started my tank,
and have never used medication. IME raising the temp of the water up
to 83 deg (1-2 deg. a day so the fish aren't shocked), and adding one
tsp of rock salt per 5 gal, usually does the trick. However... none
of my plant have died from this, but I know its not good for them...

Oh Contrare, I had an ick spell, i used cure-ick, only did my weekly
partial water changes and nocked the temp to 84F and with in two weeks
the ick was gone. Granted i did lose two diamond scale tetra....
