eclipse hex 5 too noisy

I have a small eclipse hex 5 that makes a loud humming noise. They are supposed
to run silent. I changed the impellar and still noisy- there is no obstruction
and it is only a couple days old. Any ideas? I called Marineland
customer svc and they say the only moving part is the impellar - but it moves
freely. Biowheel turns and water outflow is good. Only problem is this loud
noise.
Any ideas?? Coming from the pump motor?? Change pump motor??

Is it possibly coming from the light? Fluorescent ballasts (is the Hex
5 fluorescent?) sometimes hum very annoyingly.

no - they use incandescent bulbs. When I put my ear to it - it sounds like its
coming from the pump-motor assembly - but marineland claims that only the
impellar can make noise and I already tried changing it. Am stumped !!

Mine is silent. Ask Marineland for a replacement motor housing assembly.
They will usually do this as they
have the best customer service on the planet.
