Does anyone know where I can buy some "micro cory" catfish ? I saw some at a
show, and they are SO cute. They only grow to about 3cm ( 1.2 inches)
according to the guy at the show. Anyone know the species name ?

never heard of "micro" corydoras however I do have pygmy Hastatas corydoras.
I have never seen them in a LFS in my area (Winnipeg, Canada) and got mine
from a private breeder in Calgary.

If you are in Ottawa, Canada, I have about 30. At least I think I have
about 30, as they are quite small. Tank is big and well planted.
Fortunately these little guys like to stay together, so when you find
one, you have found most of them. Ottawa might be just as far as Brazil
from you, but at least there is less paperwork to cross the border ;~)

have you asked your LFS to order them for you? Here in Maine, my local
fish store almost always has some pygmy cories in stock. I use them in
my 10-15 gallon guppy tanks, especially in those with fry.

There's a guy in Pittsburg,Pa. on AquaBid.com selling;

.. "CORYDORAS PYGMAEUS - 15 FISH , tank raised " .. for $25.00 ..

Only thing is, I just want 6 of them. 15 for $25 , plus probably $30 or more
shipping = $55 , or $9 apiece for 6. Oh well ...

ahh, no , that would be 15 for $25 + $30.00 shipping = or less than $4.00
apiece. Sell the one's you don't want locally or trade them at your LFS for
something else.

Ask your local fish store to order them for you. As I said in a previous
message, my LFS almost always has them in stock so they can't be that
difficult to get.

Keith J is right regarding asking the LFS store "first".

They run less than $2.00 a piece here in Bloomington, Indiana.

There are three species of pygmy Corydoras, Corydoras hastatus,
Corydoras habrosus and Corydoras pygmaeus:

Good aquarium stores regularly carry all three of these species, but
they may only be seasonally available.
