Silly Question - Cross Breeding of Mollies & Platies?

Hi all!

I have a pair of what I thought were mollies.

The female I am sure of, but the male was sold to me as a Platy early
on, and now I am unsure.

The male is clearly exhibiting mating behaviour on the Dalmation
Molly. In particular, he is chasing her around that tank and shoving
his fin underneath. It's funny because it looks like he is trying to
copp a feel!

That said,I was wondering if mollies and platies breed with each
other?

Not successfully. I recommend you pick up a couple of female Platys for
your male to chase. Your Molly will not have much peace until then.
