neutral water?

It all depends on the construction of the dehumidifier, most have copper
parts that touch the water, poisoning it. I think the krib has some info on
this.

No because firstly the condensor's are generally copper and secondly think
of all the rubbish, dust & toxins frome the air that get trapped in it.
