About 5 months ago I inadvertently introduced pond snails into my 20
gal octagon tank. 3 months ago I stripped the tank and did the boil
everything treatment. Missed an egg or two and have now stripped the
tank again. I do not want to intro loaches into my tank, I simply want
the snails gone. I now know to dip new plants in a bleach solution to
keep from introing snails. I read in a web page to use a 1 to 20 mix
of bleach to sterilize the tank and gravel as well as artificial
plants. Will this mix harm the filter? Can the gravel be dechlorinated
after treatment? Any suggestions other than learning to like pond
snails will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry but my message is not appearing. I'll try a repost.

I do best with Botia Histrionica longterm, my Yoyos did well when young but
tend to get fat and lazy.
