Silver Dollar fish

My Silver Dollar fish, that I have owned for 16 yrs, just died and I was
curious about the normal life span of that variety of fish. Did this fish live
longer than normal?

I've read that they can live around 10-12 years. It appears that yours has
lived a very long time. Sorry to hear that he died.
