I would like to add salt to my tank for theraputic reasons.
I have a guppy with a suspected case of fin rot. I have
medicated the tank with two "Fungas Clear" drop in tablets.
How much salt would be appropriate to add to my tank?
freshwater, 20 gallons, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 0, PH
7.5, Alkalinity normal-low range, 4 platies, 3 neons, 3
guppies, 2 corys, three small plants
thanks

Just make sure you're not using table salt since it's got additives.

Corys and neons don't tolerate salt well, so don't overdo it.

Yes, I read the directions on the box. I was wanting to know more specifically,
how much salt would be appropriate for MY tank, with MY particular set of fish.
As I understand it, not all fish can tolerate the same amount of salt.
Thanks

That's the kind of info I'm looking for :-) I will go easy on the
salt. The last thing I want to do is cause stress to more fish.
Thanks
