Hi, is it not a good idea to mix bettas with gouramis and angelfish?
Or is this only with the male Bettas? Thanks for any responses!

It may work or it may not. Some bettas are rather peaceful around
other fish, I have mixed them with no problems. Other bettas are
quite aggressive and will attack the other fish you mention.

the angelfish will nip at the bettas fins, they are cichlids and semi
aggressive. its too risky to mix bettas with gouramis one could kill the
other.

gouramis and bettas are in the same labyrinth family, won't co-exist.. one
will kill the other, more than likely that is...

Not always the case.
I keep/raise both Angelfish and Bettas and I always have a large tank with
Angelfish, female Bettas and a resident male Betta in the tank.
Over the years I haven't had many Angels nip up a Betta. If they happen to
spawn, or are getting ready to spawn...then yes. The Betta will get nipped up
good.
The best advice with both Angelfish and Bettas is that they all have individual
personalities. What's good for one may not be for another, etc.
Currently, I have one young Angelfish that is a bit too nippy for me, and my
male Betta, so I removed him.
This is the 3rd time in 15 years that I had to remove a male Betta because of a
nippy Angelfish. Those aren't bad odds.
