Just curious...I always see that in refernece to posts asking about copper.
I look at my common pleco, and he looks like he's got huge armored plates
for skin. Even my bristlenose and terminicki look pretty much the same.
No, I'm not using copper treatment - just wondering about the scaleless
thing.

plecos have a white underbody which is scaleless... that is why you have to
half the dosages in medician, also for tetras

IIRC, they're called/considered the armored catfish, because of those plates
you mentioned, and I'm not sure if you've ever seen the belly, but they
plates are much smaller, they're there, not scaleless... I invite anyone to
gently turn your pl*co over and see...
call me a freak, but I"ve had 2 pl*cos lost because of an 'e'.....
