Are these tropical fish or a type of goldfish? I bought some from a local
fish store over 6 months ago from the feeder tank. Very cheap. I got them
because a bigger tank was having problems and I wanted to see if the tank
was healthy after trying several treatments. They are now thriving in a 10
gallon tank and some have grown to about 1 inch. I do not kill healthy
fish, so they can stay. Can anyone fill me in on what they are. Frank

i think you are talking about rosy reds. they are not goldfish. they
are a minnow but i don't know from what kind of fish. they are great
for cycling a tank as they are cheap, hardy and easy to care for. also
make great treats for larger fish (my lungfish goes crazy when i throw a
few in for him).......
